Planted 2,000 trees to complete GSUSA 95th anniversary celebration with a total of 14,000 trees.

Spring 2008: More than 600 children and 300 adult volunteers planted over 4,000 trees

Fall 2008: Over 6,600 trees were planted by more than 6,600 children and adults

2007

Spring 2007: 50 children and adult volunteers planted 1,200 Trees in Milford, DE.

In 2007, the Future of Life, Inc. (now ERTHNXT) announced a nationwide tree planting collaboration with the Girl Scouts of the USA coinciding with the Girl Scouts’ 95th anniversary celebration. ERTHNXT provided Girl Scout Councils with 95 trees, and 148 councils in 46 states signed up to plant trees through this program, engaging thousands of girls and planting 14,000 trees.

2006

FALL 2006 – More than 500 Girl Scouts, their parents, and siblings from the Hemlock and Chesapeake Bay Girl Scout Councils planted 5,500 trees in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. The planting events were part of a kickoff for the Trees for the 21st Century initiative. The Girl Scouts were also planting as part of their goal to earn an Improve your Footprint patch, which they received when they completed the expectations of their service-learning curriculum.
